Sorry we could not keep up on the blog our laptop broke the second day we were in China. So where do we start to tell you about our journey. Beijing was a very busy city and we were on the go from sun up to sun down. We visited the Great wall and it could not have been a more beautiful day. The sun was shining and there was a skiff of fresh snow on the ground. Johnny and I only made it up a little ways. the stairs are very steep and shallow and I am a baby when it comes to heights. We went to Tianamen Square, the forbidden city and the place where the Olympics were held. We were scheduled to leave Beijing on Sunday 1/3 but as my luck would have it Beijing got hit with a blizzard, the first one in 60 years. 14 inches of snow fell in a few hours. 430 flights cancelled and total chaos broke out at the airport. We spent over 24 hrs total waiting at the airport trying to get a flight out. we did not get out until 7pm the next day. Our little boy was already waiting for us in Kunming with no Mommy or Daddy. With a little bit more of our special luck one of our luggage went M.I.A. when we arrived in Kunming. It was retrieved the next day and had apparently been in a jam on a conveyor.
Of course once Nolan was in our arms none of it mattered. What a beautiful baby. He was a little apprehensive for the fist day but never cried. By the second day we were Ba Ba and Ma Ma. We can not imagine a life without him. Johnny and I are in love. He is a character and quite possibly a communist. we have plenty of time to work on that. He love cars. Any kind of car anywhere, especially construction vehicles. He loves to eat just like his daddy. He loves to clean up messes and always puts things back in their place just like his daddy. My life of luxury is looking better by the minute.
Sissy, Cody and Levi are in love with him too. If we are gone to long with him they call us to bring him home. When Nolan is home he is waited on hand and foot. I think we may have to buy him a crown. He really is a little prince AKA monster boy.
So as the saying goes a picture says a thousand words. Enjoy
What a gorgeous little boy! The pictures are also gorgeous but don't compare to Nolan. We can't wait to meet him. Miss you guys!!
